On Tuesday 10th July, MEG-UK hosted their Special Interest Group session within the UKEMS annual meeting.

We welcomed three invited speakers: 
Fernanda Morales Berstein (University of Bristol): Ultra-processed foods, adiposity and risk of head and neck cancer and oesophageal adenocarcinoma
Rachelle Irwin (Ulster University): Epigenetic effects of folate and related B vitamins on brain health throughout life
Eleanor Conole (University of Oxford): AI, omics and the neuroimmune axis: a closer look at chronic inflammation in relation to brain health 

We also hosted talks from selected abstracts:
Emanuela Volpi (University of Westminster): Single-telomere length analysis (STELA) identifies accelerated genome ageing in adolescents with severe obesity
